Killer Instinct: Season 3 Gargos Trailer
– May 27, 2016
As long as Eyedol is the last character I would stay a KI fan of not I would definitely be in shock and disbelief. Why Gargos and not the original boss from KI, Eyedol? . KI would lose me as a fan if Eyedol isn’t a Season 3 character.
Gargos está muito bom!
Só falta Eyedol , espero ele em uma possível temporada 4
Gargos vs Eyedol a batalha dos senhores da guerra
Cool trailer! My favorite part was ” I can play your game machine!” Classic!
good trailer. Miss the ‘guess which character is next’ at the end though!
@ M’o Cheddar
Rukari Austin said that the last 2 characters won’t be teased and shown at their full trailer but General RAAM is next and was leaked earlier in March.
@Travis
(I apologize un advanced if this comment is long, I had a lot to say about this topic. and hopefully some of you can agree with me on this.)
I still don’t understand why General Ramm has to be the next guest character when there are far better characters that they could of put in the game (like Joanna Dark or the Cyberdemon). my issue with this decision is that it’s just completely random. and while I could suggest better & more exciting characters to be the next guest character in the game, such as the Cyberdemon, they should of just reserved the 2 spaces for either a new character & Eyedol or simply 2 brand new characters. I don’t understand why fighting games are now obligated to have guest characters in the game when they have nothing to do with the overall story and the game is already unique enough without them. this is why I find the guest characters in Mortal Kombat X so obnoxious and utterly pointless. it just comes across as the developers cramming in as many characters as possible without any clear purpose as to why besides the whole “making money” excuse. the only character in MKX that I think had a legitimate reason was Leatherface since Gunnar Hanson died and he was Ed Boon’s friend.
Iron Galaxy should of just made 2 brand new characters to expand the roster. one character could of been a human/shark hybrid similar to Street Sharks that could of been an interesting contrast to Riptor where it could of been created by a rival company of Ultratech in order to get revenge against them, aka Aquatech, or as apart of Orchid’s deep cover ops organization in order to infiltrate Ultratech as some kind bioengineered weapon. another character they could of done is a time travler warrior similar to Trunk from Dragonball Z in order to bridge the gap between Killer Instinct 2 & Killer Instinct 2013. for those who remember, the original KI took place in the distant future where corporations control everything, and from the way the game is presented, is completely polluted & hot. as I always put it, the original game felt like a cross breed of Blade Runner, Terminator 2, & The Running Man. in either case, this character could of been a time travler who came from the original time line in order to either prevent the time split or investigate what happened during the events of KI2. you could potentially make that character the song of Orchid who would follow in Jago’s footsteps.
as you can see, I have put a lot of thought into these ideas. one of them was at some point was Cyber Cinder. think of it as a cybernetic endoskeleton (similar to The Terminator) who fuels his pyrokenetic abilities using a furnace in his chest core and built by Ultratech’s sub-division, Pyrotech (which is where the Aquatech idea came from). any of these ideas could help build the game’s universe and expand the story. adding yet another guest character doesn’t add anything to help the game or expand the story/characters/universe/and etc. it’s so overdone and add’s nothing to the overall game. however, if they really had to add a guest character, like I said, there are better options. this is why the only guest character that I agreed with and felt natural to the KI lore was Rash. General Raam is literally the sme solider type character as the Arbiter. and I’m not exactly sure if people really care at all about Gears Of War 4 now that Doom 2016 has come out.
on a side note, I also must apologize for the constant typos. in either case, I think people will get the message regardless. feel free to respond if anyone agrees with me or wants to debate this topic.
if Joanna Dark, the Cyberdemon, or even Juno from Jet Force Gemini isn’t even good enough for KI S3, they could of done something so random, unpredictable, and completely out of no where that could of made the whole guest character thing at least seem a little creative. case in point: Ssappo from Bio Freaks. since Maxamilian Dood is involved with the game, he could of brought in the character in the game as a surprise guest character. at least that would of been interesting and somewhat surprisingly original.
@ultrakkon1994
I didn’t read the whole post but I will say that I think there are 2 reasons why S3 has guests.
1. IG is running out of ideas
2. To have gamers from other franchises play KI.
In a recent article though, IG and DH wanted a Battletoad and even Scorpion in S3 but General RAAM was just added to promote gears of war 4.
@Trabis
I’m fully aware that they wanted to promote Gears Of War 4, but I don’t see that as a reason to just throw him in Killer Instinct. like I said, if there’s no logical reason as to why adding him in the game will make the game any better, then I don’t see the reason to cram him into the game. my issue with this decision is that they wanted people to play the new game, but they should be able to promote Killer Instinct without the need of having guest characters. it’s not a smart idea because it starts to show that they have very little faith in their own product. and really, what does putting in a guest character like General Raam add to the game that could possibly make it any better? he doesn’t add anything to the KI lore, he doesn’t make the game any better by adding him in, so it all seems rather pointless. and if they’re running out of ideas, then the logical choice is to hire people who has ideas. this is not a hard thing to do, and I’m getting sick & tired of people using that excuse.
and honestly, just because they can add in more guest characters, that doesn’t mean that they should. nor should we be conditioned to just accept it and not question it. to quote Dylan Cuthbert “nothing must go into a game, not even if they are good ideas.” if they’re starting to run out of ideas, then they need to do the following:
1 – hire new creative talent who actually has ideas (if you read my comment, you would know that I actually had 2 ideas for characters, and I know more about the story than the developers do).
2 – reserve one of those spaces for Eyedol.
3 – actually try to create a new characters and not cram in yet another guest character. promoting a game is one thing, but you don’t need to promote a game like GOW 4 in a completely different game. that shows that no one cares about Gears Of War 4. if they need outside help, then hire people who can create new ideas.
4 – if they really need a 3rd guest character, then add someone who can actually bring something to the game that is both fun & interesting. for example, Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark, Juno from Jet Force Gemini, or like I said over a thousand times, the Cyberdemon from Doom. I’m sure that more people care about Doom 2016 than they do for Gears Of War 4.
5 – announce that Season 3 is the final season and release a finished product. it’s been 3 years since they’ve been working on the game, and it’s still technically incomplete. if they can’t keep up making new content, then they need to wrap things up and release a final product.
6 – if they wanted Scorpion in the game, then maybe they should negotiate with NRS to have Fulgore in Kombat Pack 3 as well. that could eventually lead to a MK Vs KI game if they asked the fans in an online poll.
like I said, I’m putting more thought into this than the developers, and this is coming from 1 man who has worked on over 318 designs for his 16-17 year old anime project, with responses from 8 actors & 9 actresses. if I can figure this out, so can they. and if they needed new ideas, then maybe they should actually, oh I dunno, go out there and find people with new ideas, credativity, and ambition (like myself), and put them to work.
Sweet! Very nice!
That was a good trailer
