The Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) has announced their 12th Annual G.A.N.G. Awards finalists. Voted by members of G.A.N.G and by the game audio industry, the G.A.N.G Awards honors the “outstanding creative, technical and artistic audio achievements in the world of interactive entertainment”. Finalists are selected by a 70 person Advisory Committee after conducting “hundreds of hours of research, listening, watching, playing and discussing” a wide array of various games. The winners are then decided after over 2,500 G.A.N.G members places their votes in each category.
This year, Killer Instinct was amongst the finalists in two different categories: Best Interactive Score and Best Original Vocal — POP. KI will be up against a few other very notable games like Dead Rising 3, The Last Of Us, And God of War: Ascension. Winners will be announced at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) on March 20th in San Francisco, CA.
Huge congrats to Mick Gordon, Jean-Edouard Miclot and everyone at Double Helix and Microsoft for the nomination. Let’s hope Killer Instinct wins!
