Maya’s name is a matter of preference.

The typical British or American person is usually pretty terrible at pronouncing foreign words and names.
Should we have to mispronounce Maya’s name forever, just because the folks at Rare did in Killer Instinct 2? I don’t happen to think so, but I’m not going to get on anyone’s case who pronounces her name the same way that Killer Instinct 2 did.

I love this game. The cast is so diverse. All they need is a white guy and it’ll be complete. After that its time to focus on the mutants like Riptor and Cinder.

She can do long distance combos by throwing her daggers. If she misses you lose that dagger and have to retrieve it. Each consecutive hit adds new properties eventually forming a giant unblockable homing dagger. Source: IGN

So, if she’s not Amazonian and is from Inca Empire, which has nothing to do with Brazil, she would speak their own language or even Spanish.

Well actually I just found out a few more new infos and details on and regarding Maya: According to and at the same time confirmed by Iron Galaxy: Maya is NOW a monster hunter and so like u just says is NO LONGER an Amazonian warrior queen, she belongs to and overall is a member of this South American order, and I decide to mention that Maya is of Latin origin meaning of course, that she is from South America and in turn, is going to speak either Spanish or Portuguese in the new KI depending on the artistic/creative directions the developers are going for/towards on Maya
