In the late 1990s, Atari attempted to cash-in on the success of Rare’s Killer Instinct by developing a clone of the game called Vicious Circle. Originally planned for release in the Arcades in 1996, it’s development ceased after what is assumed to be the realization that it wouldn’t survive amongst the other fighting
games available at the time. Fifteen minutes of footage is provided below where you can clearly see the resemblance to Killer Instinct from its graphical style, focus on large combos and even character design. how come Vicious Circle got cancelled?
because of the move sets and hit boxes?
What am i seeing? This is horrendous
The ridiculousness of this game reminds me a lot of ‘War Gods’ from Midway. Thank GOD this game never saw the light of day. Ooh-wee is it bad.
Yeah, totally agree
Never heard of that game until now. Yeah, I can now see why this game won’t be able to survive among the other current fighting games at that time: it is that BAD
Lol that’s amazingly bad.
I kinda love it lol
